Coach training

Football evolves day by day and the training of coaches is increasingly important. RCD Espanyol actively believe in training and updating knowledge, and that is why the club give all coaches and football lovers the opportunity to learn.

At the Coaching School, the teachers are responsible for methodology, the engine of grassroots football.

For years our youth setup has been a point of reference at European level, and we believe that it is time to make our way of working better known.

The training offered by the club is very broad, so that everyone can choose the way that is most beneficial for them.

METHODOLOGY AND YOUTH ACADEMY MANAGEMENT COURSE

Annual in-person course

RCD Espanyol de Barcelona has created an annual intensive training course for coaches. This theoretical and practical program provides participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to become high-level technical and managerial football coaches. Based on the club's successful youth football methodology, this course offers comprehensive training that will enable them to acquire the know-how and working methods characteristic of Espanyol.

This objective is achieved by providing coaches with the necessary tools to improve as technical coaches and gain a comprehensive understanding of the working methods in the youth football of RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. Subsequently, they can apply this knowledge with their own teams.

One of the major incentives offered by "Espanyol Academy Course" is the opportunity to become part of the coaching job pool of RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. Through this, participants have the chance to respond to the club's needs, both at the national level in schools, and internationally, in various academies and camps of the blanquiazul entity around the world.
- Aimed at: Coaches who work in youth, amateur and semi-pro football.
- Format: In person
- Location: Stage Front Stadium; Ciudad Esportiva Dani Jarque; Espanyol Hub
- Language: Spanish/Catalan
- Duration: September-May
- Days: Friday from 5:30pm to 9pm - 100 hours
- Activities: Theoretical training on the field, as well as practical sessions at the RCDE Dani Jarque School.
- Includes:
  - RCDE Merchandising Pack
  - Espanyol membership card and season ticket
  - 1 free entry per season
  - Minimum 10% discount on 2 tickets per match
  - 10% discount at RCDE Stores
  - Watch youth football training sessions
  - Tour of the Stage Front Stadium
- Requirements: In order to formalize the pre-registration, it is necessary to be over 18 years old, have a coaching license or at least 4 years of experience as a coach. It is also essential to be able to communicate in at least 2 languages.
Intensive week

An opportunity to gain know-how during a week. Training for groups of coaches at different football clubs, adapted in content and duration:
1. Structure and working methods for youth football
2. Training methodology for 11-a-side and 7-a-side
3. Fitness schedules for youth football
4. Specific goalkeeping training
5. Pysychological training
6. Video analysis
- Aimed at: Groups of coaches who wish to learn about RCDE's youth football setup.
- Format: In person (Ciudad Deportiva Dani Jarque).
- Language: English, Catalan or Spanish.
- Teachers: Youth football coaches
- Duration: Adaptable to the needs of each group.
- Activities: Seven theory sessions and attendance at training. Open doors to watch youth football training.
- Includes: Attendance certificate.
- Optional: Coach uniform, water, possibility of interpreter (Chinese, English, French and Japanese), RCDE Stadium tour, discount on match tickets.

Director of RCDE Academy Jinan, leading the project in China as a key driver of the RCDE methodology rollout. He coordinates the staff and sporting plan, and coaches multiple youth categories.
